it almost sounds like the "neutral" position of your controller isn't really neutral.

I use the mouse for steering in racing games like Outrun.

It just takes tuning the analog sensitivity so you get a decent feel for steering.

Try playing without that controller on and see using mouse and/or keyboard you have the same problem. My guess is you won't.

yeah it's proly just a calibration problem not being in the center. But if you've already calibrated it then it's the joystick which may be broken and slide it's calibration point.

Can you enjoy to beat the score of DEATH VALLEY/STONE HILL by the score of DUAL WAY??

Blah.... If you want a real competiton, play (set 1) instead!!

to be honest im not interested in playing using the off road trick, (but i am interested in watching) so playing set 1 would be pointless purely bcos i cant do the offroad trick to the extreme that is done in the set 1 high score.

im more interested in seeing the perfect run without the offroad trick.

speaking of a perfect run ive been thinking (which can be strain at times)
wot are the best times for each stage using to classic route right, left right right(with and without the off road trick).
these are my best times (different games of course)
stage 1 : 56.18 (only possible thru a jump start and cutting each corner tight without going on the grass)
stage 2 : 55.18
stage 3 : 57.18
stage 4 : 55.18
stage 5 : 46.??

I delete my stonehill/death valley. and upload BORINGdual way.
blah.....

FIRST.
Lowest 2 digits of lap are always 18,21 or 25 if you run 291km/h+.
if actual time is 55.00 then lap is 55.18.
actual time is 55.03, then lap is 55.21
actual time is 55.06,then lap is 55.25.
actual time is 55.09,then lap is 55.18.
(lowest 2 digits are very fuzzy. so ignore lowest 2 digits.it is nonsence.)

SECOND.
about reasonable time.
at stage 1(coconuts beach) 55" is possible if you succeess 294km/h turbo.
(not 293 but 294)
But,you should satisfy 56" .
294 km/h turbo is as difficult as sweet spot of cameltry.(in fact I success only twice tonight)
at stage 2(walls) maybe 55" is the best.54" seemed impossible even if keep 294km/h.
With gear trick,54" is easy(if you master it!)
if success 294Km/h turbo and keep 294km/h,52" is possible.usual 53".
at stage 3(alps)
This stage should use offload a little(even if you slow down)
56" is easy. I think 55" is possible even if without gear trick.
With gear trick,53" is not so difficult (again !!!if you master it)
at stage 4(whear field)
55" is not easy. 56" is not easy,too. 57" is not easy,too...
no-miss is the most important. route is not difficult.wish safety driving.
gear trick helps you very little at this stage. 54" is par time of gear trick.
at stage 5(dual way)
46"34 is my best time.and unless gear trick,it is almost best.(across dual way 3times)
gear trick does not help so much.but 43'01 is possible.

at stage 5(stone hill)
as you know, this stage does not have offload. in other word, you can same play as gamest record holder.
44"94.
it is 1+ seconds faster than dual way.
Ultimate best score without gear trick may be created by stone hill not dual way.(course C not D).

so--without gear trick best rap(I think) are
55-55-55-55-44

THIRD.
never expect me. I prefer 55-53-52-54-43 with gear trick.
