Strikers 1945 II, Stage Rank in Stages 2-1 to 2-4
For each random stage in Strikers 1945 II's second round,
is the stage difficulty the same regardless whether it's
drawn as 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, or 2-4? That is, if the game draws
the sea stage as 2-4, is it the same difficulty as if it
was drawn as 2-1? I'm assuming all other variables that
affect Rank stay the same.
I found this was the case in Gunbird 2. I compared, say,
2-3 United States and 2-1 United States and I found no
differences--no faster bullets, no change in the attack
order of boss patterns, nothing. Thus, I assumed there's
just one second-round version of the United States stage.
I'm just wondering if this also holds true in Strikers 1945
II. I can clarify what I'm asking if needed.

I can't say with complete certainity whether a stage on 2-4 is going to be harder than 2-1. Because even 2-1 is too insane for me. :) But yeah, I just figure that all levels on the second loop are at a "fixed" difficulty and it won't matter what order the levels get played in.
(the only time I've ever made it past the first loop on one credit is when I played on a machine that gave 5 lives. although I did once reach 2-2 on Strikers 1945 III on default 3 lives + extra)
By the way, you have a very nice website! Interesting stuff, I've been there before when I was looking for information on what the exact requirements were for reaching the second loop of Dodonpachi.

I agree, I reach only 1-8 boss in arcade but I had two friends who reach 2-2. And I didn't see any change of difficulty too. And yes, difficulty on second loop is hellishBBH wrote:I can't say with complete certainity whether a stage on 2-4 is going to be harder than 2-1. 2-1 is not easier than 2-4.
rank of second loop is only due to "power up" and "how long you did not die."
and ultimate good player can finish 2 loop "NOMISS without bomb."
or use once at 2-6 to leech.(not defence)
in other word, do not disappoint even if you used it out all bomb.
FINISH IS POSSIBLE. (if you are god)
current world record is 3.42 million at flying pancake.
and it is not use autofire. normal rank,2 ships extra at 600K.
exactly same condition as you.
good luck.

I found 3 487 800 in an old gamest issue (I've not the issue number), the guy make the two towers... loops sorry
But I don't know/remember the number of ships/bombs and what ship he used.
It's on my own database made by my little fingers 3 years ago

rank of second loop is only due to "power up" and "how long you did not die."
Also, in the second loop, is there any significant
difference in difficulty between using only 2 power-ups and
all 4 power-ups? In the first loop, I find that the Hayate
is strong enough with only 2 power-ups, so I can keep rank
low this way. But I'd like to know whether this strategy
works well in the second loop, too, or if it's better to
destroy enemies quicker with 4 power-ups.
The floating mines there are worth more than 10,000 pointsNovice wrote: and ultimate good player can finish 2 loop "NOMISS without bomb."

in all, right? I have a superplay of I.O using a bomb there
and I wondered why...
One more thing. I noticed a few experts who let certain
bosses self-destruct, let a return bullet from the
remaining planes hit them, and they lose nothing--they gain
points from collecting extra power-ups and bombs. Is this a
bug they're exploiting?
