("mame SAFARI -playback safari" instead of "mame -playback safari")
actually, this started happening in mame63.

the strange thing is though, it doesn't seem to need the game's shortname if you're trying to play it back with sound off? I recorded safari with -soundcard 0 since it doesn't have sound anyway.

ugh, this is still dumb though

Mr. Kelly R. Flewin wrote:Hmm... maybe we should hack Dragon's Lair into MAME and play it without the video, audio only :) NOW THAT would be a challenge... and of course Anders would come along and somehow beat the game... even without the video....
You know, Dragon's Lair is in MAME as a testdriver. Whether or not it's the driver that Mirko wrote a while back that works, but only under Win98, I don't know.

Ehhr? The chd is the Hard disc image of the game. How can the game be playable
without it?

Sorry, you're right : I don't try to play it, only check the rom with the command "m62 -verifyroms area51" and I was told "1 romsets found, 1 were ok"
