Game hangs after the player gets too many extends.
I finally saw the recording (the first 2M) and I am very dissapointed.
He gets an extra life every 100K...
What can I say...
Game spoiled!

He may be a great player, but this recording doesn't demonstrate it.
Just my opinion...

MJS, I saw some inp of that site.
There are great players (no doubt, they are much better then me), but they often change settings, or use autofire.
So some game have greatest scores because the games are easier.

Mmmh... okay.

But why are you comparing us?

If it is because I said I felt disappointed, excuse me, I didn't mean to sound rude.

Maybe I should have mentioned that it was the fact that he altered the game's settings what made me feel disappointed, not his performance.

I think Pac-Land is so well balanced that changing the default settings is a sin!

Ohh this made me want to play Pac-Land again!!! If only I had more free time...

Japanese factory default setting is 100K every.
You (include me)just play the game with local rule "MAME DEFAULT".

I would presume that MAME defaults are factory defaults where known. I would also have to presume that many of them are unknown.

Factory settings or not, MAME's default settings are the best in my opinion.

Oh, and thanks for the info Novice.

On a side note, now it's been twice that I saw a weird version of Pac-Land in the arcades. I have played the PC Engine port as well and I think it is that one.

It is very funny.. some graphics are different and it has cut-scenes between trips. For example you can see how Pacman sleeps or takes a cup of tea when he reachs home (awesome!) :P

Have you ever seen any romboards which work upon "No-Life, No-Remain,No-Extra" dragon saber?
Of course, it is not impossible to finish. but most of marper can not play this game at all.
Is it really Factory Default ?
Joking setting is not it?

AGAIN. we just play the game upon the "LOCAL RULE." never speak ill of other players play.

Of course, with those games where the factory settings are unknown, it is up to the original author of the MAME driver to set the default. Although, what they choose at times, makes no sense whatsoever.
