I'm basically vocal here to keep marp an action replay page more so than a follow TG leeching page and secondly here to protect an old marp score from being beaten with non game intended techniques.

If we keep the parent romset free of leeching, the two clones can leech as much as possible or maintain a time limit.
I agree.
Anyone against? If someone opposes we will have a poll for all 3 romsets...The outcome of the poll can be that this technique is banned or allowed for all 3 romsets, most likely a poll would ban the technique alltogether.

I thought when you have multiple rom sets even with a poll you have 1 set that still allows it and the others that don't. similar to te outcome for Outrun, where I believe for 1 of the rom sets the offroad trick is not allowed....but is allowed for the others.

Yeah, but I don't want to poll each romset separately, somehow that would seem like overdoing it a bit. Plus allowing trick at main romset and not allowing it at clones would be a strange result, since there are no unleeched submissions to protect at clones.

We give you an illusion of democracy, enjoy it! 8O :)

Allow on main romset, don't allow on clones :)

des you got your money you shouldn't need any other marp points from that recording that you can already get back and more with TWO more clone submissions. The whole point is to protect marp true gaming action records, Just as i would do if someone came up with some lame attempt to leech even easier than des has found on another game and get a higher score than him (or wait that wouldn't happen :)

The outrun poll was to allow or disallow the trick in all versions, hisa the main proponent of the trick and I decided to allow the clones to discourage the trick because no one else objected.

I'm still on 2nd position :) I leave first position for Ace13 because he discovered it and show to me.

he played pretty much what I had described. there are a couple variances of it..but what he does is definitely one of them....the easier one to execute.

..and tad safer cuz if you screw up you can send back your runner and have the bases loaded...and hope to get a hit that next batter to set it up again.

Okay, it's settled then. Rules edited for champbas and champbja:
At parent rom you cannot leech.
At clone roms you can leech.

Chad, could you zero Des's and Ace's leechy recordings at
Champbas

Pat, could you add the other clone to marp, there is no entry for:
title Champion Baseball (Japan set 1)
set name champbbj

Here are the special rules for champbbj:

Code: Select all

This game got its own scoring system, and will therefore not use the general Baseball scoring system.

Besides that, it's only allowed to use one credit in this game, because it stops as soon as you get behind in score, and you can't choose to continue.

Leeching *is* allowed in this romset

Recording on TG settings, which are the official arcade game settings, is preferred, and will gain your scores further notice from your fellow players.
TG settings allow for leeching :D

done, i can't wait to try my leeching powers on the clones :)

Barry, these recordings (although not allowed in the parent rom) should be placed in the tips and tricks pages.
