on bootleg, internal memory is probably very different than on original pcb !!! that's why this is the key for me: it's not internal memory problem but more boot pcb problem. Best Japanese scores confirm that multiple 1up hostage is impossible because only original pcb are used on Japan gamecenter.

Can you explain the pattern you use to get this score ?

In fact, this score were made three or two weeks ago, when the RETROCOMPETITION of RETROVICIO of frebruary started. I remember I follow your own pattern, but in some part I made sometihng diferent and I could obtain this score, I was vey impressed and at this moment I pressed F12 to obtain this snap. I tried to obtain again this score but I could not have obtained results,but I post my png here for you and perhaps you can discover the pattern. Regards and been charmed with of knowing yourself.

I will update my web page with new replays (made with save) with total patterns up to +815.000pts.
For now my best score on pcb is 808.190pts. My target is +810.000pts. For better score, patterns are too risky.

For mission 1-1, I found patterns 37.590pts.

Well, I played Shinobi III and other Genesis versions, but this original Shinobi I never played before. I played for some hours, and my best game reached the last boss. Reaching higher level was the goal, not score pressing.

The game is very good (I ever liked platform games), despite I hate these kind of bonus being related to external attributes. Yes, for me, the digits of a score is an external... a non-game related issue, IMO. Rygar is another example. The games are excellent, but I don't like this kind of relationship to get bonuses. Ok ok, you can love it if you want

Where is my contribution? I have an INP where I used shurikins all long the level 2-2, and I got the 20k Special Bonus Maybe a game bug, or a romset bug, or MAME bug... Anyway, if you use save state from my INP, maybe it's possible to identify why I got the bonus, underservedly. I tried some saves/loads some seconds before the end of the stage, and tried some mixups, but I couldn't confirm, consistently, when it give me or not the bonus. Well... it's with you Shinobi experts! Innuendo, Moreno, Destructor, Alpha, SYG-SINO, Ben.Shinobi, PAC-MAN... good luck!
