ok geezer, i will give that a shot sooner or later.
so i kinda guessed right, but just with the wrong mame. if you can use multiple front ends on multiple mames, you must be able to swap stuff over...

Settings specific to the frontend, you won't be able to transfer, but anything that MAME itself creates can be, but there could be some loss of settings when going from one MAME version to another.

The "whatsnew.txt" file is listed over at
http://www.mame.net...hmm...well, it *was* listed there yesterday...right now when I go to that site, all I get is "Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server."

i just tried to submit recordings for "mspacmanbg" and "schaserc".
MARP will not accept them, unrecognised...

You're posting in a thread for 0.148 new games... those are romsets added in 0.149. You have to wait for PL to update the database for 0.149.
