ROM: smashtv
b) Kill the die cobros: $100
If you finish the game on one credit, you will get two additional prizes.
Huh, I was sure that the bounty was only for finishing the game. Well I'm going to keep trying anyways.

Congrats The_Pro.
I write what I know about esprade bug from people who did this bug (Circa2113, MrMonkeyMan and Randorama from shmups forum).
Most fresh and 100% sure info is from Circa:
1. Bug is for sure on International 4/22 version.
2. Circa playing really aggressively and slamming on the A and B buttons to rack up the multiplier. He NEVER USED C until after it happened. The second stage was shopping mall at night and the third was the bay area.
3. Circa used button A to select character when start game.
4. Circa's score was about 2.5-3.5mln when bug appear.
5. At the beggining of stage 3, his score started going up by the millions.
And two words more from Circa:
the only thing that was different is that I accidently picked up my 2nd player joystick to play instead of the first. I was also playing far more aggressively than I normally do
MrMonkeyMan says:
Sorry, but I won't be much help. I've only triggered the score glitch once and it was on a two player game. I think we were on the 3rd stage which was the school stage. We were fighting the boss when suddenly I heard the one up sound go off a whole bunch of times. I looked at my score and I had over 200 million points.
This was quite a few years ago, so I can't be sure if that's 100% correct. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Randorama says:
I don't know how to trigger it, but it revolves around using the b-attack. If you take Yusuke and get the bay area copter as the third boss, you may experience this problem: you use the b-attack on the boss and instead of getting a few k points per attack, you apparently get millions. You may ask MrMonkeyMan as well, he observed it a couple of times.

Recently SOF-WTN scored 71,919,080 at donpachi. If anyone from Japan can get a video, I would be willing to pay for it.

Thanks Phil. Also, video is up at

Can you write how you create video file from you inp replay? What program you use for record, what settings?

by The_Pro
I used FRAPS to capture the inp. For FRAPS to work you have to enable Direct3D, I also enabled bilinear filtering otherwise it looks ugly. I set the frame rate as close as possible to the fps in the game info. There is a file size limit with FRAPS of 4.9 gigs which there doesn't seem to be a fix for. In my video you'll see a few skips because of this (like at 6:22) but they aren't too bad. Should be less noticeable when using a faster computer to capture.
I then used VirtualDub to put all the small files together (append avi segment), using direct steam copy in the video tab. Then I did a resize to 640x480 using Lanczos3, compressed the audio to mp3 with Lame and did a 2pass 2nd pass Int. compression with xvid. After that I noticed some audio lag at the end so I went in the frame rate controls and enabled "change so video and audio durations match".
After that I used abcAVI Tag Editor to edit various tabs like author, date, etc.

Does
"ROM: ddonpach
g) Finish the game on one credit: $50"
Means 1 or 2 loops ?
Another question : do I have to use special settings for WolfMAME plus 099 to use M68k C-core ?
How do I set that ?
Thank you.

Game is finished after kill final boss. After 1st loop you don't fight with final boss.
C-core is default.
