As Yoda would say:
"Use the Hensachi we should"

I believe the game uses the raw score as the high score (shown during demo mode) - the strength is (to me at least) just a method for applying a skill ranking to the player. Like the grade you get in Strider 2. Many games have some method for scoring higher using little skill (Hi Moreno

Ok I've checked and the game shows the top score for each character during the attract mode... and it uses the Hensachi, not the raw score.

Well, in that case, seeing as the game goes by the strength for the top scores, then using that would be fine by me.

Congratulations for breaking the Aliens world record Ghemant!!! Very impressive play!!!
Maybe now you can go back to Golden Axe?
I ask you because I've been playing this game a lot lately and I have developed new strategies you might be interested in.
The strategies are basically different ways to get rid of the animals, which as you know, makes it easier to align enemies.
One way is to distract the enemies from riding the animals by walking around them, and another way (much better because you don't waste time) consists in walking away from the animals so that they are left outside the screen. This one is essential if you want to kill the amazon and the goblin together in stage 5 (assuming you want to prevent the skeletons from appearing, of course). Check out my goldnax3 replay if you haven't done so.
And I have more ideas to maximize the score... I will let you know if they work.
If we help each other, I think one of us will beat the world record soon.
By the way, how is the translation of the guide going? I can't wait to read it!
PS. Once I managed to align and kill 3 enemies together! Wanna see the inp?

for a perfect play is necessary lost 4 lives in first loop and 12 lifes in second loop.
Eeeeee.... we talk about the same game? Aliens? How you get 16 lives? With 16 lives I don't see any problem to get 2mln. I never saw more than 4 lives.
Maybe japanese clones have more lives.
eh eh eh eh not... is the same version that you know.
but is not real 16 lives. Max real lives are 9 in secondo loop. Other 7 lives is secret strategies: you can death for time... but with a bonus energy in the screen you can increase 1 live lost
I can cofirm that japanese version is different and easier. In world version isn't possible to get 1UP from ENERGY BONUS x 2. For ENERGY BONUS we must have 4 or less life bars -> then 4+2+2 = 8 energy bars.
In japanese version for ENERGY BONUS we must have 5 or less life bars -> then 5+2+2 = 8 + 1 (this '+1' is 1UP).
