The pattern would always be the same if you took the same turns at the same speeds..THAT'S what I meant.. BTW how the hell does Hisa accellerate so fast from the starting line? That might be the key in itself right there..

yes, 33.333333333333334% is all that is needed to stay the course, up until the 7 day vote is over. 66.666666666...% is needed to add the new rule. It will be very close and votes "will" be checked for gang voting. Looks like all votes are unique so far.Novice wrote:Defcon= 7
How much do we need??
I recognize 66% players wants to change, rule will change.
(I need 34%+)is it right???
First,I am very glad challenger (like you) appears to try it by yourself.Spike777 wrote:I have two questions for Outrun players :
First, I tried to do the trick but it didn't work. I made a low-high gear shift as fast as possible, what am I doing wrong ? Is there a particular timing ?
Second, at the end of stage 5 (the fifth stage of the classic right-left-right-right pattern), sometimes the road goes down and sometimes it goes up. Is it a random thing or is there something I can do to choose the way the stage ends ?
Otherwise concerning the gear trick, I think that the best thing to do is to make two rankings, one with the trick allowed and one with the trick forbidden. I understand Hisa when he speaks about the "spirit of outrun" : I imagine that in Japan everybody plays the game that way since it has been discovered (a long time ago I assume), so it became something the game can't be imagined with. Of course outside of Japan, we see the game differently because we played it in another way. That's why I think we should make 2 rankings, that way everyone will be able to enjoy the game the way they want.
I agree too for make the trick only on one set. So, all will be happy. The TJT wrote:Yes, sounds good, if at set 1 you can do the offroad trick and other sets you can not. Suits for me. Only thing is I'm not so interested in playing right now...
So, I'll stay a worthless player because I don't think I have an analog input one dayThe TJT wrote: I have not done the fast start trick at mame, and I believe it requires some kind of analog input/pedal, not only on off position for gas...When you start, don't go full speed, keep the pedal halfway pressed or so, that should be the trick. If Hisa is unwilling to confirm this, I will be happy to ask my 51 Million ontheroad friend about it, he knows, and remembers...
What kind of controller Hisa(or novice or whattever ttyf) uses for Outrun?
I did my worthless scores using mouse...
"No" requires 2/3rds cuz the game currently has no special rules which implies all tricks are allowed currently. The TJT wrote:After the poll interesting point will rise: Which was the rule to be changed: Which option requires 2/3 votes!
Do you really get a new rule with 1/3 votes, chad...
current rule is Reasonable. The TJT wrote:Francois, yes in the beginning/start of the game. This is for wheels not to roll on one spot/leave rubber/ whatever the right word would be in English.
QRS, yes.

Marp democracy-a good joke!
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Do not worry QRS!QRS wrote:Just remember that the poll still stands..voting yes or no about the trick. Allowing one set to use the trick will only be an issue if the trick is allowed after this poll.
