Same for me. As I said before, I suck at driving games anyways, plus I haven't had much time to play since the weekend and I have no more time to play today before the deadline.

I'm not sure if the programmers thought about it before hand (the ability to get a boost from doing that)...

From the looks of it, I'd say it's an intentional "feature" that they added to the gameplay.

...but in any event, you should try out everything you can possibly think of with every game you play. It wasn't like it was hard to figure out, I figured it out on my own the second day I played it.

Whether it was easy to figure out or not is basically irrelevant to the point I was making. Personally, I prefer games that don't need to depend on hidden "tricks" like this.

well, it's clear that some people didn't like the obscurity of the boost trick, and the fact that it's only possible to get the fastest time with one of the vehicles. But I still think it's pretty awesome that we got to see the game entirely broken apart and then had multiple people beat the old Japanese record. That really doesn't happen very often! And we still haven't reached what looks like the fastest time possible.....
