the pulsating sheep, and the Galaga '88 screenshots, those are sigs. The pulsating sheep is 12k, and the Galaga '88 pic, while a bit tall vertically, is only 8k. That's hardly a dialup killer. I myself am on a dialup at home, and I have absolutely no problem with the speed at which the pages here load. And once each pic loads once it should be cached, which means it won't be a problem loading it again....

of course after they load, its quick..

but they're still there, scattered throughout
the post..and my original points

1) making everything harder to read
2) not adding anything relevant to the
thread in question..

look back through my threads
(centipede, ms pac man, galaga 3)..

everytime there's a screenshot,
it's labelled, and describes pertinent
information..

you already allow pictures on the post,
with your name (like the girl, the galaga bee, etc..), which is fine, why
clutter up the messages with even more?

waiting for things to load if they have

just upload it somewhere,

and use the 'img' tag to include the
picture, this will put the image up one
time in the post..

that way you can use different pictures..

Did the moderators ask you to put 'yes' at the beginning and (compliant) at the end of every post you make? No, it was just to lose those_damn_underscores! I think you're just being a little bit awkward that's all.
Johnny's picture is ok, all whopping 8k of it! It's a nice screenshot, if he wants to have that as his signature so be it. If it was a 112k picture of the space shuttle or something I'd understand. If your downloads are effected by it that badly perhaps you should think about upgrading to adsl, it's the future you know!

I didn't ask you to change your existing topics to something almost as annoying. I didn't ask you to not use "(compliant)", because I assumed that you would just leave it at that for the ones you changed, and use something normal for new topics. But you seem determined to be as annoying as possible.

I guess I was expecting too much when I expected some common sense around here.

1. So you can't tell the difference between text usually found in a post, and pictures in a sig?

Seriously. Have you ever been to any other message board on the internet? This forum is very light on images, and you're the first one to complain. I check sites where people are running around with 100k+ sigs and nobody has done anything about those. Now THAT'S a big deal for dialup. A 12k pic and an 8k pic in the same thread isn't bogging down my modem, or even Barry's.

Idea: if you don't want pics to be loaded or you don't quite have the mental ability to separate pictures in sigs from text, then turn off image loading in your browser. Voila!

no, i don't know what you're talking about,
because there aren't any other posts like that.

i was making a point, that just because you start
disallowing one type of subject, there are all kinds
of other ones out there..

and if you think thats awkward, what about the
other posts, with broken english (what means..),
posts with " in it..(major havoc "finger trick"),
posts with [poll] in it...posts with CAPS in it,
(FINAL FIGHT)...i could go on, and on about it..

but my point is, i dont see anyone complaining
about those..

out of the 17 threads for october, 5 were originally started by me,
3 have replies from after i changed them from ('_') to (compliant)..

i would hardly call starting 2 threads, a determined 'deliberate' effort..

your definition of 'normal' leaves a lot to be desired,
as i see no distinction for other 'problem' topics
(see above for examples)..

even this thread is called 'to hisa(and team2ch)'...
