I also get a boost from the Dio (for some reason I don't think the 350 ever gets put next to me) but it's not as good as the Plot or the bike.

Could get a slight boost, getting 3 seconds under the default 27,5s with falcon. I guess getting more advantage depends on which cars you get at the beginning=luck?
You said you must go slower than car in front...if so, then you can't catch that car in the first place(second boost). Do you slow down speed of your car after going past other vehicle(second boost)?

Sorry Matt, I was being frustrated having played bike for some time and realizing that no matter what the top positions would not be reachable. Well, it *is* frustrating, and you could not know beforehand about the trick.

Yes.
Motorbike example.
Motorbike is on my left. I hold A + C + LEFT and boost on motorbike, pass motorbike on right (I still hold A + C), next slow down speed (let A) - motorbike must be still on screen (control it with A button). Next motorbike approach to me (I control speed using A boutton, not too slow, not too fast), when motorbike is on my left I press LEFT and A to wipe off motorbike for second boost. Now my speed is 500km/h

Remember, hold C still until second boost. And manipulate A button.

On plot is the same method almost. Sometimes is possible second boost without slow down.

'Water car' is slower than Falcon and first boost is weak. After first boost you must approach to 'water car' and slow down speed and next made second boost. Sometimes second boost is possible without slow down.
