Not at all but if you used two different roms to make two different recordings you'll have to agree one of them may not playback. I.e. My best guess is you used the same roms for both the recordings that do playback and the recording that isn't played back which would mean it was a freak playback problem and you'll definitly need to rerecord with that. BUT if it's the situation where you recorded multiple recordings with a different trfrce.zip then you should provide the trfce.zip that playsback with each recording if its not the same as the "official" NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN rom.Kale wrote:Are you saying that I'm gonna rerecord that one because I've not used a NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN,which couldn't let all people to playback that, with a sample rom which doesn't do any difference on the gameplay, only on the seeds (which I didn't even know that)?roncli wrote:If you guys (Chad, Barry) say it's okay to use the sound redump and confirm it, then let's confirm it. Otherwise Kale will need to rerecord. Just let us know which it is.
I'm hearing from when I was child the scratchy DAC sound of Techno Soft, and I don't like to rehear it again, and I don't want to remove the 2.bin because somebody is lazy...

I think that he just added the new 2.bin to the bootleg...
I've been thinking about this a bit, and I don't see a reason, IMHO, why it shouldn't be allowed unless the new 2.bin isn't going to be a part of the mainstream romset.
For example, megaman2 didn't work until the XORs were released earlier this week. Those are obviously going to become part of the romset to be distributed.
As for 2.bin, if it's going to get the sound to not be all scratchy, it should be added to the romset eventually, right? If so, I think a note should be put on the recording, or even go as far as adding the ROM to the .zip file when uploading it to MARP, until there comes a time that the ROMset is available with the new 2.bin.
Sorry if I seemed lazy, but technically you shouldn't upload stuff using different ROMs in the ROMset which alters the playback, because you are no longer playing under default settings. I do hope that this recording is allowed, and this ROM gets distributed with the new 2.bin.

OK, this still won't playback. That's prolly because it was done in DMAME, which doesn't run right on XP. So someone else needs to confirm this.
