Chad wrote:ok, here's the scoop. i was able to playback the 17M score with no sound with dos mame and any frameskipping but still couldn't get the 19M to playback with anything. i also couldn't exactally repeat the mame.cfg because the soundcard 7 setting didn't work for me, and i can't even get mame to prompt me for what "7" really means. I'm assuming this is "Microsoft Sound System" soundcard, how did you get that to work?
7 is the Ensoniq soundcard. I have it in mame.cfg to avoid being prompted for my soundcard every time I play MAME. Just change that if it's giving you a problem...

yeah i used the standard 1 (which works for me) but even then it didn't playback, even though it appeared to playback differently bad with your cfg verses mine, i just mentioned it since i can't use 7 i can't really replicate the same cfg.

While we're on the subject of ESPRade, I'd like to mention that I have FINALLY gotten Mizuki's 2nd-place recording to playback successfully.

http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/mizuki_e ... m37b13.zip

Although it implies that it was recorded with DOS MAME 37b13, I was only able to get it to playback with MAME32-37b13. Samplerate must be 22050, changing it to 11025 or 44100 causes it to desync. And of course, no NVRAM.

Strange recording too, she (?) dies a total of FOUR times on Stage 4, and then only dies once on the last boss. That struck me as very, very, very odd.
