I use frameskip 0, not autoframeskip.

The constant frame rate changes are caused by vsync. I checked the MAME options, and triple buffering was disabled. After enabling it, the frame rate is much more steady.

I'm starting to get my memory back from the early 90's about playing some Midway Y-Unit games, like High Impact, Terminator 2, Trog, NARC, Smash TV, and etc.. in arcade days. Some games like High Impact and Terminator 2 does random freeze the game. Although, I have seen it before the coin insert works, but the game still freeze no reason.

I talked to mahlemiut over #MARP. There are some kinds of protection on some of Y-Unit game can cause haywire for no reason. Strike Force may have fallen the same protection as Super High Impact and few others. It is basically not emulation problem afaik, cuz nobody has even report this game has bugs since M34b7. :/

I guess this round must go on, anyway if the other two coordinators agree with me or not. We do not know if the bug will pop up or not? Sorry about this convience.

Hehehe.. the best thing to me, about this "off-week", is that I will survive ONE week more in this tournament (well, in Winner's bracket) :? I will start to try to preview my opponent in my 1st match on Loser's Bracket... 8O

Hmm... at MARP's clock (Mon Oct 16 23:55:17 2006 GMT), the current stats:

732,090 vs 92,025

mahlemiut (15) vs. gastrainga (9)

Interesting Williams prototype cab of this game on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0039371859

Was going to be called Saurian Front. Williams merged with Midway and it was subsequently released as Strike Force.

RAX, Great job. I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep with you. I'm kind of glad that you'll be facing JYD, and not me. It should be a good match.

BBH, MJS and Notman: Thanks again for all your time and hard work. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to following the rest of the tourny. There look to be some really good match-ups coming.

And now to get ready for K6. :)

Thanks for the comments, Saru3000. We appreciate it. :) I'm very surprised some of you guys haven't finished the game as I thought it would be. Congrats to Pat and he was almost there to finish the game.

Here is the last sample junk replay with all clear, one credit. This was due under PLAYTESTING mode to test out if there was any bugs or leeching problems before this round was started. Sorry, I didn't find the green planet bugs there. Hopefully, I'll try to finish this game after the K5 tourney is over. Maybe Pat or somebody else will do it after watching this junk replay. So enjoy... :)

Saru, trust me when I say that racing with You has been a *very hard* fight. I'm exaust. And for the whole week I thought I wouldn't be able to beat You. You know that the first day I reached 31K? ther-ty-one-thou-sands 8O . I was going to suicide  . Later days were better, but not enough for your scores.
At the last night, after _many_ disgusting inps I scored 271K, and finally reached 300K. It has been a real gift from the game about 20 minutes before the deadline.
I'm glad to have faced You, see You on K6.

JYD, looking to our scores in first rounds I hope next game will be I,Robot again

Notman, which planet do You come from 8O ? I will look at your inp as soon as possible, great job. Good job to Pat33999 too, that scored 720K the very first day (another reason for me to suicide)
