I think, not if Nanni inp was on MARP before made rule. If we delete Nanni inp what with inps where old (easier) settings was used?
It's a different issue.
Maybe.

1. But it's unfair if score is made on easier settings and is hard (or impossible) to beat it on new settings. Where is problem to zero these scores?

2. Next issue is emulation speed, example - Raiden. On older MAME version emulation is incorrect (very slow bullets and enemies). It's unfair too. Where is problem to zero these scores?
MARP's goal is to emulate the experience of "watching a virtual master play an arcade game", true to the arcade experience, as closely as possible.
Points 1 and 2 (2 in particular) disagreed with this MARP maxim.

Still a different issue, but to answer your points:

1. Then we would usually use earlier/easier settings on new mame versions too. Special rules for a game, case by case. No need for zeroing.
If someone has intentionally used easier than mame default/TG then those scores should be zeroed.

2. No problem. If emulation has been incorrect/too easy, those scores should be zeroed. You can start a topic on these cases, it would be helpful to also mention which scores should be zeroed and what is the difference in emulation.

Ad. 1 - I think original arcade machine default settings should be used always, then no problem. Yes, I know, not always manuals are available.

Ad. 2 - I started it in year 2004 :)

INNUENDO noticed that all is ok with Raiden in older MAME versions. But what with other games?

Raiden is wrong to replay when you use old MAMEPLUS versions, when we finished 2 loop, and playback, always wrong.
And the same is in MAMEPLUS0.87 Or MAMEPLUS0.89,they even can't playback, when you come into,it quickly back to windows

Raiden certainly does have serious playbackability issues. In earlier MAME versions, you could disable sound and enable freeplay. But since MAME removed the disabling of sound hardware/CPUs when using -nosound, that has become impossible. Currently, only AdvanceMAME will record and playback inps correctly.

autofire,Right 8) From the test, we sure to need your help .
And a secret we finially found out:MAME PLUS replay can be spliced into pieces .But we are headache to check out,can you offer some tools and method to check out, which replay is not spliced?such as"WOF"-No hurt,no miss inps. ,Thanks:wink:
