Now we must learn how to made special items (red bombs, green bombs, green wands, 1UP statue, 2UP statue and some others) without watching RAM address using cheat option.
Yes, we know, asdfasffok is from other team but his tricks are great too.huangzeze wrote:but i need to point out player(asdfasffok) do not include in our team .

Hahaha, I'm stupidhuangzeze wrote:something about the 23 lives in 710.000 INP, that is coppers which added in the fellow-up game by author.
3-1 1 copper adding
3-5 9 coppers adding

Yes this is not trick. He insert coins, every coin=2 lives. On stage 3-1 he insert 1 coin, on stage 3-5 he insert 9 coins.

PS. copper = coin
Thanks Zeze Huang.
Then we leave asdfasffok in peace and continue search how to made special items

are you sure?destructor wrote:Hahaha, I'm stupidhuangzeze wrote:something about the 23 lives in 710.000 INP, that is coppers which added in the fellow-up game by author.

wow
Hi evry1,
great to see some KOTR replays. Those tricks are pretty amazing, shame they are cheat based and not doable in normal play. KOTR has been one of my fave games since day1, the character designs, the sound effects and general atmosphere of the game, tho what really sets this appart is the Guard-Riposte system and the Pow upgrade scoring system. I can't beleive that more games don't use this system of linking score to player upgrades (especialy for Capcom's own D&D games). Coming from the SF2 rather than the Pacman generation, I usually prefer speedruns or to just see skillful technical play (aesthetic forms?) as opposed to hi-score play (which I find can often be ugly and not even necessarilys skillful) but in this game score is so cleverly linked to the play mechanics it brings all the elements together, and seeing the Knights level up is a cool bonus:)
Anyway, I've uploaded here prolly my alltime fave game replay. Its not really abt scoring tricks, but features some really skillful play and interesting boss strategies (esp Arlon, Balbars & Garibaldi). Everything U need to watch the movie is here, its from the old Callus emu (remeber that?) recorded: 20/07/98 player: Landy
http://rapidshare.de/files/16178131/Lan ... R.rar.html
The Boss battle against Arlon is my altime fave videogame moment, the back and forth swordplay using the Guard-Riposte and 'Dragonpunching' Arlon out of the air using Lancelots kick attack is awsome..enjoy.
I also have an Arthur replay too if anyone is interested. Btw has anyone ever seen a replay using Perceval? That I would love to see...
Craysih.

I'm interesting in Arthur replay, he is my favourite character.
Re: wow
Wow, sorry, I've had trouble uderstanding what has been said in the thread so far. As far as I could understand U needed to have a cheat code enabled to see a vaue number so you know when to hit items? You are saying its possible to know when to get these items just playing the game normaly, as you would in the arcade? Somebody pls explaindestructor wrote:It's possible in normal play. there are a few multiplayer replays here, apparently one is a hack where two people are using Perceval at the same time, lol.
