Beginner Mode?
What is 'beginner mode'? It seems to make the first game a lot easier if you say 'yes' to the question.
The 'special rules' for Ultimate Tennis don't mention it.

I just received an email saying:
I've tried quite a few times and nearly always win the first game game-love in 'beginner mode' and nearly always lose the first game if I don't use beginner mode. Is this just a placebo effect?
By the way, leaderboard points weren't being awarded - it just looked like they were. Now it doesn't even look like it, either.
but the link seems to be dead. What's going on there?destructor has posted a new reply to "ANNOUNCEMENT : START OF KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT 3 (k3)" in the "" forum at forums.marpirc.net. You can use the following link to view the replies made:

Game isn\'t easier. Only with prompts on first tournaments. If you play good the prompts don\'t appear. Somtimes this prompts difficulty game, especialy when opponent want lob you. On later games prompts don\'t appear (test it personally).

I checked it more detailed today.
And...Im' sure that first 3 opponents are slower than in nobeginner mode. At 6th opponent game is schematic and in my opinion opponents are identical than in nobegginer mode.
4th i 5th opponents are almost identical. It depend at it what I played early. If I don't use button 2 not even once then prompt appear on the screen with button 2 to use and I have more time to make think. If I use button 2 then prompt don't appear.
But opponents at 6th played identical with identical difficulty (very schematic).
For player who that know how to do play on 'ultennis' it's without difference but for begginer is easier.
Today at evening (Poland time
)I check it one time more.

I was pretty sure of that, too. I've still not mananged to win a game if I don't select 'beginner mode'.
Pat should specify which mode we should use for the knockout competition.
I don't know what you mean by "schematical".
Where in Poland are you? I'm in Prague, me. Not very far from Poland, really.

Poland, Czestochowa.
Schematic mean that opponents play identical. Ball is fast and if you know some tactics you win. Look my inp with score 911. At 6th opponent I play identical and opponents too. I use helpful window with prompt (button 2) but without this prompt I play identical. I only want demonstrate how use this prompt. In nobeginner mode this schemat you can start at 4th-5th opponent's. Sometimes is needed some luck. I don't know how gain an extra ball. Maybe who know?
