He has to do that, it's a very sharp curve. You can see this fact looking at the end of the curve: he arrives almost to the left side of the freeway. If he decelerate less than this he could arrive in the left-side-grass, that is worst.
Believe me, it's a very good run
I wonder how much time he played from the last deca

Haven't played since the Deca and logged around 20-25 hours since I started trying a few weeks back. Although, half of that time was wasted using a controller which wasn't turning right all the way so I had to readjust my timing on right turns. Even my new controller isn't 100% though, you'll notice I sometimes drift to the left when I should be centered. I don't mind it though, keeps me on my toes.
I think Rick meant the grass in level 4. 2 unforced errors there but the 3rd time (in the S curve) if I had tried to hit the curve normally I would have probably hit that wall of cars up ahead. That's how most runs ended, me refusing to compromise on the best line and then hitting a car.

true...I saw that..but was thinking you maybe got in the grass a little longer than you intended.
how much did you play it to get to that level of skill? seems like it was only 1 week of play...but 10 hours? 20?
if 10 or less..man you have a quick memory of all the moves...almost like making a pattern...but a very long one for all the races.

As previously posted about 20 hours to get the score. Though I already had the courses memorized long before. It was just about getting a run with no cars in the way and no screw-ups.

With continuous improvements in the last weeks, he has finally beaten the old and important 1st place, which lasted more than 9 years
and he has good improvement magins too

I'm waiting for a 19M inp, go on Utomood3

That's quite some improvement on DK here.

Beats both mame and arcade records...without reaching killscreen. Awesome!
