Tournament starts in less than forty minutes at 12AM Eastern Time tonight (4AM GMT)! A screenshot is strictly required for all scores, but let's lead by example and try to have WolfMAME .inp files for all MAME scores, and stream if you can.

Some clarification on how scoring works:
For each game, the top 5 scores for each team on that game are combined in a list which is sorted by score. We have 9 teams, so there will be 45 scores, 5 from each team. The 1st place score from that list gets 45 points, 2nd place gets 44 points, and so forth until the last place score gets 1 point. Each team's score on that game is the sum of the 5 scores for it's team. So a perfect team score on a game, for example Street Fighter 2, would be to have places 1-5 on that game which would score 45+44+43+42+41 = 215 points. The worse team score would occur if you get places 41-45 on the game and get only 5+4+3+2+1 = 15 points.
This is done for all 28 games. The total score for each team is the sum of their scores on all 28 games. So a perfect score would involve taking places 1-5 on every game and would be 215*28 = 6020 points.
Because of the way scoring works, most gains in points can be made by improving lower placed scores. If we can improve the placement for a score on a game from 3rd to 1st, it is only worth 2 points. But if we can improve on a game from 45th to 40th, which is probably easier to do, we pick up 5 points. In general poor placements on a game will hurt us more than 1st place scores will help us.
If you do not think you can get into the top 5 for MARP on a game, you should probably not spend time on that game. For example there is no way I will be top 5 for MARP on Street Fighter 2 so I should not spend any time playing it.
We have a lot of players so I suggest we start out by playing whatever we want to get familiar with the games, then analyze which games we have poor placements on as a team and find players willing to work on those games and that are talented at that type of game.
Good luck everyone and happy playing!
