I remember the top score of shinobi at my local arcade place it was a troll, done with 19 coins just to check if counter stops on 999999, score was 1000800
Maybe you can achieve it soon just with single credit - Good Luck.

This is exactly I dont want to to...I don't play video games to get N°1 score, I don't care of top score score on any games (for me, a high score is just a reference)...That's why I dont play with wolfmame and doesn't want to send inp on twin galaxies or marp. The only thing that can interest me is to share infos with other players...But it's difficult with few of them...

Ok i watched the inp.

Boss 2-4 and Boss 3-4 "easy" to glitch and get the 20k bonus.
Maybe boss 2-4 to use the shurikens on the ninjas and score more points, but gonna be hard to count :s ?
And boss 4-4 still no way to glitch it?
(Maybe a way to get it offscreen with magic or jump over it?) Surely needs testing if it's possible at all.

Sadly this bug could of worked with Shadow Dancer, but bosses there don't give 100k points if you kill them without shurikens.

For boss 4, I've already worked on it but I can't find any 100% safe pattern (but is possible...). Maybe Syno have already find a way to make the pattern safe... however, we will never know from him...
Did you try this bug on shadow dancer ? I will try later. But as you already said, there is no way for 100k bonus on any boss for SD. even if you dont use any shuriken as here:

I'm not good in shinobi but i just tested boss 4 used cheats to reach him :p
At the begining i started walking towards left and reached the end of the room.
Then the boss started coming to me slowly he doesn't attack at all times just charges slowly towards you.
And when he is close to me then he swings with his sword. At this moment i just jump and avoid being hit.
This can be done as many times as you want just but can be deadly if you mess up the jump.
While the boss retreats few steps and charges again towards you this is the time when you use the shurikens and count.
This boss can be failed so it might be good first to get his life to 2 points then counting the shoots to 256 and just finish him with magic.
Unless you have absolute faith that you can hit him with remaining shots then magic might be saved.



I have disabled the cheats for boss battle but still doesn't feel right.
So this might not work on proper run.

YEP CONFIRMED - cheats(INVINCIBILITY)remain active even if disabled But feel free to test it on proper run.

I think he only found one big secret (that maybe nobody have found) that I don't show in my last inp. This secret is not reveal at the moment simply because we work on it at the moment. Don't worry Des, every shinobi players will know very soon...

Thanks for the Shinobi top score history Gemant !!! But I don't feel less tension with PCB, mameplus, wolfmame or other emulator. The only diference for me is I can win time for a single credit !!! about+50min for a real play (pcb) and about 35/40mn with F10 speedup with the silly leeching. The pressure is clearly not on the leeching phase on 2-1...But I believe that I see what you mean.

Could you tell us the top score history before the first score you write (760.090 GMC-ALECK-ALX--- PCB) ??
I think also, there was other top score in Japan gamecenter between the Michirun score (793.240) and my first +800k ? Can you confirm ?

I can say that playing with F10 key on stage 2-1 is much easier than normal play. Without F10 key, player is more tired.
