Uhm... ok, my recording was deleted. The reason it plays upside down is because the screen is flipped by default! Don't know why, I only know it happens just a with a few Taito games (the same that use Rayforce's driver, I think it's taito.z or something). That's why I had to turn on the option -flipx and -flipy. Apart from the .nv issue, is that a valid reason a recording must be deleted?

Pretty much all games that use NVRAM have a configuration screen,
usually accessed by pressing F2. You should be able to change the
settings to the defaults there. Exit through either the
configuration screen's exit option (if it has one) or by pushing F2
again. Note that F3 is NOT recorded in an inp.

upside down is ok, but nvram requirements were voted out. very nice
recording btw, but i'm sure you can top it. also, the recording
wasn't deleted, just zeroed, you can still access it by searching for
rayforce and 99 lowest position.

Heh. Thank you. I used to finish Gunlock 4-5 years ago(btw, what a
sad ending sequence...), so I hope that the garbage on the screen
will soon be gone.. it's hard to play later stages in those
conditions

Nope, taitoz.c is the driver of Chase HQ,Continental Circus and
others. The driver of Rayforce is the taitof3.c :"it doesn't support
true 90 degree rendering".(from the MAME source).
So you have/had the Sega Saturn,Vaz?(since F3 cabinets are pretty
rare here in Italy)

No, no, I played the arcade version (but I'd like to play the PSX
version too, since I saw it once and it seemed better than the
original)... here in Pescara I played quite a lot of F3 games
(Gunlock, Bubble Symphomy, Bubble Memories and other I don't remember
now), I didn't know they were rare in Italy. I was lucky

Anyway, I re-record my rayforce.inp file, this time deleting the .nv
file: I died on Area 5 (in the previous, zeroed score I reached Area
6) but scored over 1,600,000 points... the secret is to use all the
rays at ones to get big points
I'll upload it as soon as I record
the japanese version too.

There. Nearly 1,700,000 points. That's all I can do right now, being
the video emulation not working perfectly. So, Mr. Truth (?) teller,
this is my truth, tell me yours. (ever heard of Manic Street
Preachers, btw?
