It seems that no screenshots are being entered at MARP for games added to MAME the last couple of years.

Is there anything that can be done about this, even on a case-by-case basis?

Skito is usually the one that did this, and he's had a case of "real life syndrome" for quite a while now.

Okay, gif files seem to be stored at:

http://replay.marpirc.net/shots/gif/128/romname.gif

...with images maxed at 128x128 (a little lower on the height for horizontal display games and a little less on the width for vertical games.)

and

http://replay.marpirc.net/shots/gif/256/romname.gif

...with images maxed at 256x256.

Two otherwise identical screenshots of different sizes for each parent ROMset.

Is it unknown by anybody still active how to upload files to those storage locations?

It may be that, additionally, some switch needs to be set somewhere, or not. Perhaps it could be figured out.

Attached are appropriately-sized shots for Space Cyclone (scyclone) in case anyone wants to try to upload them.

There is a related problem and I can't get a solution from Zwaxy or Chris G.

The links for parent and clones is now broken in some cases. Causes some pics to be missing and incorrect relationships. Started with 0.200 I believe.

My password no longer works for the MARP server and no one can tell me what the new one is!! Ridiculous, isn't it.

I had a discussion with him about some snapshots in 2009, he said that I don't have to resize them before submitting to him because he "got that covered"... not sure if he was telling me that he can change size as well or that your browser does the work for changing sizes (part of MARP html code).

Ok, I tried to simply upload the scyclone GIFs to see if that was all that was needed (in case the shots had to be connected to the database somehow). Seems like uploading is indeed all that is needed.

If someone wants to produce the missing shots (in both 128 and 256 max width or height, GIF format), please send them to me, and I'll upload them.

Awesome. I will use this thread for that purpose (for the few games I give a shit about) unless you prefer a different method.
