i ´ve catch this mame version in mamedev site, someone knows how to record movie using it??

some versions of wolfmame are creating empty inps, someone knows how to fix this problem??

First of all, Playbackability category only serves for issues with "playback". Playback - ability. This topic should have been posted to General.

ALSO We'd like to remind you that, if your intention is to submit replays at this site with the purpose of reaching the first place in a ranking, you must use a WolfMAME and not a generic MAME. You did NOT found "wolf"mame on mamedev site, but MAME 0.175.

To record a movie, add -aviwrite filename.avi (obviously change filename with a name you prefer) in the command line when launching the game.

Nobody has reported issues of empty inps, so, it is more likely that there is something wrong in the passages you did. We need more information if you want to be assisted, starting at least from saying which those "versions" are.

i am using record.exe that came inside wolfmame 175 file, it is creating empty inps, diferent of old versions like wolfmame 153 and below.

okay, and how to create inps files using record tha came inside the wolfmame 175??

I'm sure you mean record.bat... there has never been a record.exe included with WolfMAME.

Step 1: Open a command prompt.
Step 2: Move to the folder containing MAME.
If MAME is not on drive C, then enter the drive letter that it is on, followed by a colon (:), then press enter. The prompt will change to reflect what drive you are at.
Then move to your MAME folder:
If MAME is in C:\games\mame, then all you need to do is:

cd \games\mame\

Step 3: Run the script:

record <game shortname> <INP filename> [any extra options you may need]

Note that this is how record.bat/playback.bat has *always* worked.

If you can't handle command prompts, then in recent WolfMAME releases, there is a record and playback option available via the internal frontend.
