MAME Frontends

Post by ballas »

Hi guys, ok I know this must have come up a million times but I need a basic solution if there is one.

Is there any frontend that can run the latest version of MAME like we have with Wolf 0.106? I don't mind paying for one either. Just wat to set up a nice system at home in my entertainment area that is easy to access games for me and my friends.

I added a very basic UI written in Tcl/Tk a few versions back. For Windows, you'll need to install a Tcl/Tk interpreter (ActiveTcl works fine), for Linux/Unix/BSD/OS X, you will likely need to install nothing, Tcl/Tk support is included with the OS. Run ui.tcl from the commandline to start it.

If you want more control, then download QMC2 (http://qmc2.arcadehits.net/wordpress/), can be built for Windows, Linux or OS X.
