About this game, in these last days PAC perform the new WR on world version. Apparently this score is not possible on Daiku no Gensan (dkgensan and dkgensam72 romset) for unknown reasons.
At the end of second loop the final score is multiplied for number of lives in stock. But in actual emulated japanese romset (dkgensan = old version; dkgensanm72 = new version) final score is multiplied x 3 always even when the number of lives is more than 3. I think the world and japanese versions are the same, so I think is a possible emulation problem?
I suppose these 2 romset are the same because the previous WR was made on dkgensanm72 romset (new version) and score was 4,584,800 pts.

Re: HAMMERING HARRY WR
The Japanese M72 version is the only one emulated that has a protection MCU (not dumped), and according to the MAME source, it's used mostly for checksumming the ROM. ie: you mismatch the MCU, then the ROM test will fail.
I presume that the M82 versions have no MCU. No idea if the US version suffers from the same bug, but it looks to me as if it's more that it can't count.
The source says that each version has slightly different hardware, but exactly what those differences are, I'm not sure.

Re: HAMMERING HARRY WR
Hammerging Harry have a simple score system and the performances of Pac and NG3-哀戦士☆NAT³ are about the same. So I think in abnormal functioning in mame (I remember Vandyke emulation problem discover during a previous knock Out contest).
Pac I can suggest you to play only with the world version for the moment.

I don't see why the World and US versions work, and the Japanese M82 version doesn't. The M72 version, perhaps, since it's missing it's MCU, but not the M82 version (the World and US versions are also M82).
