i have safely collected my mum, she is safely in bed, i am happily intoxicated, so i thought i'd show some appreciation to marp. (

since joining MARP having being a member of TG for longer, i have seen an increase in arcade participation. not a decrease. i must admit, i refer to mame as "arcade", as that is how it feels to me. and since tg has new greedy management, i can see MARP growing no end. (i believe a front end program designed by mahlemiut could be incorporated into new (and older) releases of wolfmame to ease the transition of "TG'ers to MARPers"!!!!! ) i know Barry is going to tell me to use qmvc, but i failed to use it (
), thus, so will millions!!!! HA! (oh yeah, i failed to create an ini!!!) can't you just "borrow" some front end code from mame32 and incorporate it into new mame releases? obviously i am dreaming here, but it would help thousands of people to join and compete. if i was a programmer, this would be my first task!! (i'm obviously bypassing subroutines, for/next loops and machine code to come up with this!!!) 
i see that MARP scores are better than tg scores, so this is the place to be for mame. seems alot more dedicated here, which is superb, as the only system i have used in 5 years is mame. there can be only one!!!!
i must congratulate everyone on here who has given their time to respond or give advice to questions i have had or forum banter we have exchanged. it has been great, in every way. i couldn't ask for a friendlier bunch of guys to converse with.
i have recieved not much friction here and hope to dispell none myself. any "banter" i digress is totally for fun, as i have fun competing here. i see it as my adversaries being present for a game of doubles, rather than anything else. this is what i miss from the arcade age, and is only really available on MARP.. i would love to have a game of doubles with someone, but unfortunately, no one really uses kaillera. (apart from kung-fu master, i don't do fighting games).
so, i wish you all a Merry Christmas, whatever your religion, and hope we have a good tournament in January.
