Well... I know this news is going to be disappointing to everyone, but we kinda have no choice at this point...

K10 has been pushed back to next year, after T12 finishes... so sometime in March 2013.

I realize that people are expecting it to start around now, as this has typically been when the Knockout tournaments have taken place. I'll take full blame for not doing enough to make sure the tournament was organized by then. Unfortunately we ended up being placed in a time crunch right now because of T12's start date of January 1st. And I didn't think it was fair to ask empardopo to push back T12 just for this.

Please also realize that while I'm sure this thread helped people get hype for the tourney, this thread was not started by any of the coordinators. You can thank TRB for that one. We did not intend to mislead people on the start time for K10.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay but we didn't want to rush out a half-assed tourney with games that hadn't been fully tested (and yes I know the tourney details should have been ironed out a long time ago). If you're still itching for a tourney sometime soon, be sure to support T12! We hope the K10 that comes afterwards will be worth the wait.

I apologize for the delay too, and the blame should not be taken all by BBH.
I promised to participate actively in the choice and testing of games and my participation has been very poor to say the least.
The main problem for me is that work has consumed more time than usual lately, which sucks but the important thing is that we are working on K10. Slowly, true, but we are working.
We also know players expect a good tournament as has been the case with every KO so far, so as BBH said, we don't want to rush things because for example we don't want to pick a game e.g. with bugs or playback issues.
Please be patient and everyone sign up for T12 now!

I'm still in for whenever you get K10 up and running. I'm guessing that most people who responded would still be in as well barring any real life issues.

Thank goodnnes there is'nt a event going on.. This site has been so unstable recently. Either it is completely down or parts off it are working for a short about of time.

But i don'nt understand how an another event would rather happen then this one. Then push this one back to another date .

Already went over this. T12's date had already been announced and finalized in advance. While it's possible that empardopo would have pushed it back to accomodate K10, that didn't seem fair to him. In addition to that, we were not really ready to go forward with K10 anyway. We didn't have a full game selection ready, and didn't wish to rush a tournament out with games that hadn't been fully tested. We know people are anxious, but please be patient.

this will be my first "K".
will there be restrictions on game choices? as the current "T" has lots of sub-average games and is evidently a turn off for all but die hard mamer's.
i hope the variety is large and restrictions small...
