I tried to appear somewhat unbiased in first post in order not to affect the poll... but since nobody is voting I can tell that I don't understand how anybody would vote for Romney... Not even when you're voting against Obama, still doesn't make sense.

Not only are Romney's policies weak/vague/impossible... but he flip flops with his opinions more than anybody ever - or more likely just plain lies... He plays moderate in debates in order to get votes, while he was just few weeks ago right wing. And if he gets elected he'll change his opinion once more...

Have to admit that watching the last debate on foreign policy was great... Obama absolutely obliterated Romney there, especially on his flip flopping/lies.

"You have foreign policies from 80's, social policies from 50's and economic policies from 20's" etc... Good stuff.

Yes, he didn't do it. But gradual withdrawal and training for Afghan troops is better for Afghanistan so maybe his intentions are good.
One could argue that his motives may be political as well, not doing it before re-election since Afghanistan would probably break into full scale civil war once USA leaves...which I think is probable, these guys are born rifle in their hand and drugs in another...

Also, military-wise it does offer a strategic base for US operations in the region... (next to Pakistan etc)

i think you will realise one day, that quite alot of "conspiracy THEORIES" actually turn out to be true.
conspiracy is a dirty word. it is also a clever word. it is designed to keep smart people from asking questions about massive devastating world events, and it works a treat. as soon as an everyday person hears the word "conspiracy" relating to ANYTHING, they turn their nose, and indeed their brain, away from it. so, the only people who actually ask the real BIG important questions, are labelled lunatics by the masses, as it would interfere with their if i was president, and a small group of people started asking questions about how i should be "lynched" for treason, i would also like them to be known as nut cases.
