The emulation of this game in MAME 0.106 is too slow and I don't think it should be valid for replays. 0.145 emulates the game at a more acceptable speed.
Or maybe it's just my machine?

yeah you are right, we may need to do some editing there. When the game is fixed to correct speed I think we have to clear old recordings.

Re: Golden Axe - The Duel
Yup this is another game with slow speed emulation that later got fixed. MAWS being down makes figuring out which version it got fixed in a bit of a pain in the ass though... anyone know? Or do I need to start checking random versions of MAME?
edit: ok, it was 0.129.

Taking advantage of the topic, Fantastic Journey has the same problem, no?

Re: Golden Axe - The Duel
looks like all four recs need to get "replaced" in the duel since they all are (106) below 129

Fantastic Journey needs further investigation since maybe the clones have differences

Re: Golden Axe - The Duel
Fantastic Journey doesn't seem slow to me. Seems to be pretty much the same pace as any other Parodius game. The driver itself is much slower than it used to be, ever since the TMS57002 was added, will require a reasonably specced PC to run it well.

That´s true, Barry. I´ve tested them on my wife´s notebook. The frame is 97%/100%. I´ll play on it later. Thanks for you explanation.mahlemiut wrote:Fantastic Journey doesn't seem slow to me.
