Crazy Kong scoreboard error

Post by CrazyKongFan »

I noticed a recent submission for Crazy Kong:
http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/2/9/7/rex ... olf106.zip
It was done for the parent ROMset ckong, but unfortunately, they recently renamed most of the MAME ckong sets, with a new set I submitted becoming the parent rom "ckong", and the original "ckong" (which is Crazy Kong part 2) now being "ckongpt2". I watched it in 106 using the old "ckong" set (now "ckongpt2") and it played back. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't playback using the current "ckong" set.

Fixed : inp moved (Renzo exchanges his rank #1 to a rank #27) and special rule added for ckong (use m139 or later)

Thanks...was wondering how you'd handle that. Good to add the note on the parent romset :) Might not be a bad idea to add it to the other sets that changed too, although I'm not quite sure how you'd do that (obviously, if you use a version older than 139 for Crazy Kong Pt 2, you'd want to use "ckong". But all the other CK Pt 2 clones had their ROM names changed as well)

I see another new one for ckong by Jason Nugent. He actually submitted it to both ckong and ckongpt2, using wolfmame106. Since the current ckong wasn't available in 106, I assume that one is invalid (and the other one should be ok)

Yes, Jason has probably figured out his mistake himself, and reuploaded on the correct set (ckongpt2).
So I've deleted his erroneous submission on ckong
