Somebody has hacked these forums with some nasty JS code

Somewhere for the annoying and/or off-topic threads to go. Feel free to post about whatever, but abuse will still be dealt with, and possibly with more force. Especially pac-porno. ;)

It would appear somebody has hacked these forums with some nasty JavaScript code that tries to convince you that your machine needs an urgent AV scan.

It would appear that they're using some hole in IE as it doesn't present when using Fire Fox as your browser.

luckily I only use Firefox, so it looks like i haven't encountered this yet. If i do or if anyone else does, please remember to post the last forum thread you viewed so we can find the offender.

For me, it came up before even having the opportunity to select a thread.

Also, I guess it's more of a php hijack rather than a JS hijack, given these boards are powered by php not JS.... :oops:

looks like some good shit to me.
if you open the board link at marp headquarters - right click open in new window opition w/mouse right button
'tis bypassed. y'all
