2011 Rugby World Cup - fantastic opening ceremony
What a fantastic opening ceremony to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Such a shame those of us in Christchurch aren't really in the right frame of mind to party after we missed out on hosting any games due to our earthquakes 1 year ago, and the 8,300+ aftershocks since.

I'm afraid it won't be me : our defense sucks too much, France isn't the big favourite IMO.
But who knows ? the ABs were also favourite in 1999 & 2007

Ah.... 2007...... that reminds me of a reworking of The Lords Prayer done for the RWC:
Our players who art in Black,
Hallowed be thy game.
When full-time come,
... ... thy will be done.
In 2011 as it was in '87.
... ... Give us each game our daily victory.
And forgive us our previous shortcomings.
As we forgive those who coached in '07.
And lead us not to knock-out round failure.
But deliver us from World Cup drought.
In the name of McCaw, Carter and the Holy Webb Ellis......

Ok, 37-17, 5 tries (I've told you our defense sucks).
I hope a revenge in final

I am so pissed off with the Springboks. Should have nailed the semi vs Australia. It's the weakest Australian side I have ever seen...
