2011 Time Trials - Round 2 - Puzzled / Joy Joy Kid

Our second game is Joy Joy Kid, or Puzzled, whichever way you look at it. This is an interesting tetris variant where you have to get a balloon clear of all obstacles up to the top of the stage where you can move on to the next stage. This game was featured in the very first Week Challenge Championship back in 2002. I wanted to come up with a neat puzzle variant for our next game, so, again, hopefully I did a good job.
I've seen recordings where players build up blocks as much as possible so they can get a whole bunch of lines cleared so they can get a big score. This is not a good idea, because this is a time trial, obviously. This being said, there may be one good reason to do this though: l-ball power. That can be used to take out obstacles that block the balloon's path, and that's something that should be taken advantage of.
This will be a straight timing trial. The clock will start when the first piece begins to drop, and the clock will stop when the balloon clears the 10th stage. Yeah, we'll only complete the first world here... completing the game surely will take FOREVER and nobody's even completed the 5th world at MARP yet... to my knowledge anyway. However, all you have to do to play another day is complete two stages here.

Okay, satisfaction ahead, how can we calculate exactly the time used for the game, considering that there's no timer in the game?

There's a frame counter by pressing F11... take the frames used and divide by 60. Or just take a chronometer and time it that way. Or take a guess and make me figure it out.

EDIT: While this game is officially 59.2 fps, just divide the frames used by 60 for simplicity's sake.

Startframe (first piece drops): 1700 -- Endframe (balloon leaves top of last completed stage/floor): 34200
Lenght: 32500 frames @ 60fps = 9min 01sec 40centisecs -- rounded of to 9m02sec, score 55,057..?

Oh, that way... I'll make a guess with a simple count, and leave the big to you MWAHAHAHAHAHAA
(no ok, from first block dropping to end of stage 10. I'll be sure wrong on counting seconds, and I fear that seconds will be really important in this game...)

Me too, but I had calculate in the chronometer.

Which one is the "official" calculation method?
eg.: Giro-X inp is 700s long if timed with frames/60 (42000 frames), but is 709s long if timed with a chronometer, because this game run at 59.2fps (59.185606fps).

The other thing that can help you is that you can press... I think it's shift+P to advance the recording one frame at a time. As long as you pressed F11 to see the frame counter, you should be able to calculate the start and stop points exactly.
