So, I did an inp almost a year ago, but I still don't know how much it is valid. Meaning, it is valid but if I were to do a much higher score with the same method, I think it would probably be banned. So, before risking to lose various hours of gaming trying to do that score, I'd like to know before if it will be banned ;)

Basically, the timeout in this game works this way:
- after the first "go" signal, enemies appear.
- after the second "go" signal, other enemies appear.
- after the third "go" signal, you lose a life.
If the stage scrolls, the time is resetted.

So, basically, if you wait till the second go everytime, you can fight "almost" endlessy, without going further in the stage (a 2pxl scroll is enough)

An example is: http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/e/6/7/dfz ... olf106.zip
where, at half of the first stage, i have more points that you get in an entire clear (the game restarts, though).

Please let me know ;)

yeah you shouldn't be rewarded for fighting endlessly. So eventually scores like that will be "edited". Although we like to diisplay the tricks, always welcome on the message board, we only want to see skill uploaded to marp, not repetative trickery.

I would recommend suggesting a scoring change to be set in the special rules, to either complete by fastest time or antoher way of requireing the game to be played and not leeched.
