Split for dblaxle

Post by GNU »

Hi,

the game Double axle needs four splits i guess. It is a racing game with beginner, standard and expert track (which are different from each other). There is also a demolition derby mode which is the one present on MARP for the moment (dblaxle).

You didn't mention the clone Power Wheels.
pwheelsj goes by tracks not levels, so to be consistent I split as follows:

dblaxle-xc "Double Axle (US) [Cross Country]"
dblaxle-mb "Double Axle (US) [Mud Bog]"
dblaxle-ir "Double Axle (US) [Icy Road]"
dblaxle-cc "Double Axle (US) [Car-Crushing]"

pwheelsj-xc "Power Wheels (Japan) [Cross Country]"
pwheelsj-mb "Power Wheels (Japan) [Mud Bog]"
pwheelsj-ir "Power Wheels (Japan) [Icy Road]"
pwheelsj-cc "Power Wheels (Japan) [Car-Crushing]"

And now, what about the special rules for each separate track ;-)

Done. I also moved all pre-existing scores under the Car Crushing (-cc) section.
As far as I know, here are the Gamest records (Ghemant, thx to confirm) :
Easy : 2'41"29
Medium : 3'19"42
Advanced : 3'19"10

and Car Crushing ? 999 8O

I've done a time that beats the advanced record (on both dblaxle and pwheelsj) ! can someone confirm if this is or not a new record ?!

i can't believe it... if i could have hold a world lead, even for a few hours !..

edit : latest times : dblaxle-ir > 3'15"94 / pwheelsj-ir > 3'17"59

Nice !
Ghemant, can you confirm us it is a new WR ?
My file with Gamest hiscores is a little old, for example I had slightly higher times than the ones you've displayed for Outrunners

I confirm this new WR. I not have other score about Power wheels. Old gamest score is :

パワーホイールズ (power wheels) 上級 (advanced) score: 3’19”10 player : これで本当に最期!KOMEGUNY(魔) game center: ノーベル&ヒノーズ下井草&タロー city: 東京 (Tokyo) date of publication on Gamest: 30/06/1992.

now, new top score is : > 3'17"59 (pwheelsj). If Double axle is the same game with same option and settings, in that case 3'15"94 is the WR.

God damn'it ! god damn'it !! I hold a world record !!! =P~

Thanks a lot Ghemant for replying :D

i'm aware this is a crapy-unknown game but this was a one time opportunity, especially for an average gamer like me ! so i'm just enjoying the good news, while my time is still holding (maybe not for long...).

Anyway, the previous WR was a bit weak : 3'19"10 is a good time, but it allows one or two mistakes. I guess that's because icy road can be really upsetting. The two other track records seem to be more challenging.

I think there is still room for improvement and i am going to try to show something better if i have enough time this week-end.

(sorry guys for showing off this way... childish joy... )

Nice job Phil, i knew you wouldn't let this one for long...

my latest improvements :

dblaxle-xc : 2'43"76
pwheelsj-xc : 2'43"61

dblaxle-ir : 3'12"06 new WR! ^^
pwheelsj-ir : 3'14"69

So the "ir" record remains mine for this time :D
My best lap time ever on this track is 1'02"84 (1'03"94 for a first lap) so i think it is possible to bring it to 3'10 with perfect driving and a bit of luck.
I've been closing to the record on "xc" but i still miss 2,5 seconds, and i don't know where to get them for the moment (full throttle already). The use of nitro must be the key.
If Double axle is the same game with same option and settings, in that case 3'15"94 is the WR.
I would say so. I haven't seen any difference so far.

Trying to improve my pwheelsj-ir time i got more than expected : 3'11"84 ! new time to beat ! (0"22 less than previous best on dblaxle).

I also improved on "mb" track : 3'23"44 on dblaxle-mb and 3'24"01 on pwheels-mb.
Seems that the record could be reached on this one as well, according to my best lap times ever (1'07"31 for a 1st lap ; 1'05"90 for a regular lap).
But you seem to be more comfortable than me on this track Phil, good luck if you give it a try.

That red bastard is so upsetting :x i wish i could tell him "casse toi pauv' con !" like our beloved president... ^^
