Doubt about Toki (tokiu)

Post by FAD_BR »

Hello to all.

I am playing now the game Toki (tokiu). My score is 800++. I see the playback of this game (tokiu) and i noted something strange, I think there is impossible to shoot in the diagonal left and right without having to walk a little for the sides and in the playback of the game, the player do this without problems, I am not judging nobody but he must have used some type of program for configuration of keyboard keys and joysticks keys. See the fight with the boss of the second stage, shooting "totally stopped" in the diagonal. This is possible?

Sorry my english.

I want to see your 800+ score.

Yes, I used keys mapping in my replays. In this time it was allowed.
Now it's not allowed.

Strange, since the rules now do not allow to configure keyboard keys, I believe that inp of this game would have to be remade, if before was permited and now not, does not make sense. The boss where I most die is the boss of the second stage, because is hard to shoot in the diagonal lines to make points in the eyes (the player walk to the sides), sometimes I end up touching the eyes. One day I will make a decent .inp of this game with a good record (800+), it's difficult to do this perfectly.

But don't worry, I consider this strange, but I have to accept.

800.000 with hardest setting I think....

for test, try with normal (default) difficulty, only for compare with gamest score (WR) of 770.000

Yes, hardest setting. I try to make a decent .inp one day. I need more training in this game in hardest mode. I play better if I am not recording. hehe

Making points in the seeds (in the forest), i need more practice in the exit of this leeching point. :)

Maybe I make a .inp in default (normal) setting.

Just to clarify, you aren't allowed to map multiple actions to a single key. ie: you can't map one key to both left and up, or map one key to push more than one button at the same time. It is perfectly fine to otherwise map the keys to whatever you want.

You must shoot faster. I can do the same without key mapping, but no time for this game now.

Soon (or not, hehe. I am a little tired.), but... if I do, exist a allowed place to submit a inp of Juju in this difficult in MARP?

is possible, with a direct link to download replay (with normal difficult) inside the comment of your hardest replay.

If you beat World Record with japanese romset, I add your score in world record list.

you can send mame replay file in attachment on this topic. Then, the administrator can edit comment in your juju romset and add a link to download a normal difficult replay. It's easy.

Good to know this, but... I made only 684k in normal difficult (with all leeching points possible). I played without recording. Only with more lives or in advanced difficult to make more points, I think, (normal = half of points). How the WR player made 770k in normal? :)

Where I can see a inp of this 770k score!?

I hope you understand my english. :(

yes, I understand all :)

presently, the world record on Toki (ju ju densetsu romset) is 765.800 pts made in 30 july 1990 (on cabinet, not mame sorry), player : SFL-KMG-PEY (AUTOFIRE ON) JAPAN. This record is in default settings (3 lives, normal difficult).

maybe this very high score is consequence of autofire (??) but I don't know. 2 months before of this WR, I have read on Gamest magazine other play: 662.150 pts without autofire, but from a different player.

However, there is a big difference between normal and hardest:
I think, (normal = half of points)
yes, I agree.

try to recording because 684.000 is a great score in normal difficult :P
