Rewrote INP recording from scratch, since all old INPs are broken
anyways. Header now includes timestamp, which overrides the default
time base for MAME's system time. Each frame recorded now gets a
timestamp. Analog ports are recorded once per frame and interpolated.
Analog port calculations are all done in fixed point for consistent
results. A bunch of other minor tweaks in the input port code.
NOTE: There may still be a few changes to the final INP format.

So, does that mean that the WolfMAME format is now in core MAME, or is this a totally different format that will cause problems in future WolfMAME updates?
It's mostly different, but it does store emulation speed, so for future versions of WolfMAME, there will probably be no reason to change it either. But hey, less work for me to do
i just tried mameuifx32 0.124u1
it is fancy

It isn't, and you can't use regular versions of MAME either - bit difficult when INP playback is broken. For now, you'll have to wait a couple of weeks for 0.125, or stick with 0.123. Remember that u versions aren't allowed either, thank Tommi for that one.
