Anybody else tried to play Jockel Gockel's Wizard of Wor?
Not going anywhere for me at all.

If that bears any difference, I used gui version. First downloaded roms, then tried if they work starting the game and exiting after few seconds, then playbacked. I was downloading stuff in the background...

Except the .63 bug didn't result in inconsistent results like that. One set of systems would play the recording correctly, the other set of systems would play the recording to the same incorrect result.Chad wrote:1100, first time, 100, second time, 300, third time, looks like we have a m63 like issue.
I'm using Vista, FWIW.

plays back to 319000 for me.Weehawk wrote:http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/3/5/1/go ... olf106.zip
I think this game has sound samples. I have NONE installed. If you have sound samples installed for wow, remove them or deactivate use of samples and try playing it back again.
there is still an issue with mame/wolfmame on playback if same sound samples weren't used for some games.
btw, I also went ahead and played back Sackville's new score just posted too...someone else beat me to confirming.
so both played back to posted scores.
Sackville's 326k plays fine.
Anybody have any idea who these guys are? Odd that we have two guys submitting world-class scores on this particular game as their only MARP entries.

i think that as wellceh wrote:same person recording twice
both recordings have two player fatalities on the first pit.
the 319k made on Dec. 10 , the 326k on Oct 16.(right click on file ,to properties)
barthax showing up suddenly to confirm makes me think
a TWIN GALAXIES challange of some sort maybe.
Or not ?[/quote]
ln2, one player copying the other's technique is quite possible.
and the date on the .inp is retained on playing over.
the initial day of play is kept.
sackville might have played around halloween and rewriting file since then.

"Sackville" and "Jockel Gockel" are two different persons.
They are friends and have "developed pretty good tactics for the game as teamwork".
Barthax "showed up suddenly" because there's a thread on Ville's WOW record at TG forums, I'd imagine.
