yeah, i've been wondering that as well. i can only blame that on microsoft's brillant driver writing. Since everytime you draw soemthing on the screen you must need to upgrade a new directdraw.

Doesn't do it if using Direct3D or GDI though... Microsoft must be up to something hinky again... :)

LN2 wrote: ewww...why would you delete the older ones? just burn to CD(s).
given most sets are same...only the discontinued/changed ones would need that backup.

0.118 is 2-3 times slower for many games than 106 is...at least that is how I see it on my system....test something like pacman to see.

106 I can run that at 650%...on 116(likely same for 118), I only get 250%.

2.5 times slower...
Hi LN2,

Completly agree that 0.106 is faster than 0.118.

But i think it's completly silly to use wolf 0.106 on a recent performant sytem.Don't you agree ?

I just want to have the choice.

My goal is not to oblige everyone to play with 0.118.

Not really. Why is it always necessary to use the newest version if a game runs fine on older versions?

Having a choice is okay if you're dead-set on having to use the newest version for whatever reason, but the thing is that the coordinators would most likely have to spend some extra time testing out the selected games on that version to make sure there's no emulation/playback problems. Plus it's a tiny bit more of a hassle for the coordinators to confirm recordings when they have to be constantly jumping back and forth between different versions of MAME.

I'll change it when they come up with their own page, if they have one. :) I'm just too lazy to change it twice. :)

I made a web page http://sawys.ifrance.com/k6.htm

But gameboy9 and marco must be ok to valid the format.

Hi Mods,

Can i make a suggestion for Round 1 phase 3, could you pick a game that works with wolfmame 106? i think this would be less hassle for organisers and players going forwards.

polepos2 should be the only game which we had to use another version of wolfmame

I'm quiting K6... sorry if i failed all of you but... me wanting to win K6 did destroy many things in real life... like contacts with family... school started to screw up a bit... i'm quiting and that's decision without any exit... so don't bother making me to not quit... got it?

Excuse me, i need a confirmation:
Marco Marocco wrote:2ND STAGE: ONE ON ONE (36 PLAYERS)

Top 18 against players will be seeded according to the results in the first three rounds. The rest will be seeded randomly.
Willl matches be effectively random (given the seeding of the first 18 ) or will it be 1st vs 36th, 2nd vs 35th and so on? I ask it because it sounds inconsuete, but it's ok in any case for me. :)

Yes, randomly.
Seeding for top 18, they can meet random one of the other 18.
