HELP with Marvel Super Heroes

Hello,
My son really loves the Marvel Super Heroes (rom = MSU) fighting game. However, he is only 6 years old and he (actually we) can’t do whatever button combination is necessary to do the “special weapon” (Infinity combo?) move (i.e. – Iron Man & his ‘Proton Cannon’, Captain America & his 'Stars & Stripes', etc.). So, he usually ends up playing Marvel vs. Capcom since he can initiate this move in the ‘easy’ mode by pressing only 2 button simultaneously.

Does anyone know an easy way of doing this on the Marvel Super Heroes game, or is there an easy way of chaining together certain buttons all into one to accomplish this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
