you don't remember the samarai in the tunnel in Cliff Hanger? I vaguely remember him myself...but remember goin through a tunnel with a helicopter and doing some dodging avoiding some samurai attack or something and then at the end of the sequence it freezes action and the guy says some realy cool line....can't remember the line unfortunately..but I do remember playing it tons of times to ven figure out what he was saying...then once I did it was funny as hell.
maybe others don't think of him as a samurai...but I called him one cuz he had that really long thin sword like samurai typically have.
you do know this game is from the anime lupin? This is at the about 25% into the game; The samurai endsup slicing the helicopter in half, and saying "Once again... I cut a worthless object."
me too didn't know it was from an anime until recently, when cartoon network aired lupin and i was going hey that looks strangely familiar. The ninja scene afterwards is horribily difficult to memorize, plenty of slugs went into a machine trying to get passed that one. Serisously an awesome game; i wonder if mame will ever have Cliff Hanger (and the others) working as good as daphne does. i know they don't have the chds but when you play mame dlair you get something that doesn't really look close to what the dragon's layer bios would be... wow this is off topic :)
yeah, if I am remembering correctly that ninja fight scene is a sequence of 38 moves in about 10-15 seconds.
timing is crucial on each.
I only got past that a couple times. Even once you have the moves down, t is so easy to press the wrong direction or get out of order or just mistime it etc. to die.
I with a few friends drove 100 miles to Christiana Mall arcade in Delaware a few times where I played it so it wasn't like I got to play it a lot. It was the only one I ever saw.
