I can't recommend yet since i am in the same boat i want one and don't have one. But i am focusing on slikstick (something you can just buy packaged and don't have to build after you if you buy devices from oscar or tornado). The ozstick use to have a spiner but they were pulled from their website, probably because you needed to plugin a serial for the spinner and a ps/2 for the joystick. The slickstick is stated to all work via usb(s). cheapest model with a spinner is the Solitare-J 169.95
Go for the Tornado spinner from Slikstick . By far the best , and not that expensive really , and also have a handy message board for any queries you might have .
I got one to play Tempest for the Deca . Controls are excellent , I just suck at the game . I really want to use it for Arkanoid , but can't seem to configure it properly . Maybe I should spend a bit more time doing just that , instead of falling for the lure of the pub . Although with our new draconian anti-smoking laws , I might just find some more time to do that . Either that or drink more beer in the house......catch22 .
Well done in the Deca...btw. Phenomenol stuff !
Cheers ,

the tornado spinner itself is 89$ from slikstick, AL did you make your own box for it, because for that price it appears not to come with a box/carrier, it's just the bare bones spinner. (see link above)
Yes it does come in a bare bones way . Luckily for me I have an Oz-Stick Ultimate with spinner , so I just swapped spinners ! All it took was a few new screws , two cigarettes , and a cup of tea really......
Seriously , you will need to make a box of some sorts . Me mate Flop is buying one , and is in the process of finding someone who can make a decent one for him . But well worth it . Like the site says , when you spin this thing , it actually DOES spin for about 5 minutes . Not that that really counts for anything , but it does look cool . Oh btw...i went for the luxury O-Ring top-of-the-range knob thingy aswell . An extra 20 blips for that , I think it was ?
Cheers ,

way cool, so does it use it's own ps/2 or usb port separately from the ozstick? and which do you use? I'm thinking even with the slikstick solitare combo they'll have to give you two usb wires but it would be sweet with one.
What is the o-ring upgrade is that the rubber thing around it? I can't find it anywhere on the slikstick site on how much it costs now...

Yeah i during the Deca2004, i mailed the Slikstik crew and they told me they would be releasing a line of "standalone spinner solutions" but so far I haven't heard a thing. Although they have a Joystick + spinner box for 170 US!!
If you were to do a DIY spinner you'd need to get an MDF box the spinner unit and also some buttons and a controler for the buttons. you might need to use a PS2 connect for the button(s) as i reckon windows would flip if you had a separate usb connector for spinner + buttons. it would think they were two separate "controllers"
