These are the games drawn randomly for T10. Now it is time for discussion on the suitability of these games, similarities, and what settings ought to be used.

I would say that two of the games are similar enough that it would be worth dropping one of them to get the completely different Centipede in, but since I'm bound to have a pro-Centipede bias I won't even say which two games I'm talking about.

Maybe nobody else will see it.

Three shooters is probably a bit much, and I'd probably skip Centipede in that case, as it'd still be 3 shooters. But which one to drop? I'd personally rather have one classic, and one more modern shooter, rather than all classics. Keeps the variety I like in these tournaments going.

Of Wacko, Exerion, Super Zaxxon, and Donpachi, which are you not considering a shooter?

Anyway, although Centipede, Wacko, and Super Zaxxon use bullets and therefore can ultra-liberally be labeled "shooters", they are not in any way similar to each other in "feel". Not even a little bit. Nor are they similar to Exerion and Donpachi (which are at least a little similar).

Exerion is actually sort of cool. I don't know if I could get used to the loosey-goosey control though.

I'm not all that familiar with Wacko, but I would tend to classify it along the lines of a human shooter (or top-down or whatever). Different enough from a straight vertical/horizontal shooter really. Appears to also have a slight puzzle element too.

Is it Golden Era tournament? I think one Golden Era game will be enough.

Random generator should sort games by type, year, control (4way, 8way, analog, 2 joysticks, etc) or something else.

Kinda defeats the purpose of it being random then.

Now isn't random too because players (not all!) choose games for generator. Then where is problem to select games for every type, etc.

More random will be select 8 games from all MAME games.

Maybe betters will be votes from players than generator?

I will second the vote that Mario Bros. is too similar to Popeye.
