Now then...i've asked other places about my problem (including 4-chan, which I'll NEVER go back too for help again) And I've heard stuff about getting a driver. Thing is I dunno which one to get, or if it will actually work seeing as how this thing is apparintly a generic brand. Maybe you guy's could help me or something, PLEASE? Find out if I can get a driver that can actually get this thing running.
Ok. First off, my computer doesn't even know theres anything connected to it even when my adaptor is CLEARLY connected to the nearest USB port, so calibrating it doesn't seem to be an option.
I have a joystick and a gamepad for the pc, when I plug those in, I hear the little chime thing that lets me know that XP detects it, but I don't hear squat when I plug this thing in. I still don't know what to do, but I'm still hoping that this gets resolved...
you definitley need a driver for it, i wouldn't know which one. After you attach it to the systeem and hear the ding, i think you can try "Add Hardware" from control panel, and then select the joystick from a list if it doesn't autodetect it. If it doesn't list the one you have, select a generic joypad... plug and pray.
Thats the thing though, I don't hear any chime at all when I plug the adaptor in.
It sort of works on my gamecube.
Something Weird has been happening though, on rare occasions it'll make a chime a couple of times and the PS2 controller will actually light up for a moment, then it goes back to "I'm not working no matterhow hard you try" mode.
Yeah it makes me mad, but at the same time happy, because it might be able to work.
Is the cable/plug good on the controller? Sounds like it's not connecting somewhere...cables are such a pain in the ass. It should ding even if you don't have the driver. Could be the adapter is broken/loose; wouldn't be the first time a defective product got sold.

Y'know, I'm think your right. The adaptor itself might be screwed up. When I plug it in to my Gamecube, the light on the controller blinks constently instead of just staying on, and a lot of the time the thing picks up my movements late or not at all.
Still, I think I'll keep trying a little more to see if I can get it to work. Maybe I'll succeed, maybe I won't, but I'm hoping it will.
