How do you pronounce marp?
I've always pronounced marp (americanized) with an ahh schwah sound in the middle followed by the r and p consinants, as in carp or bar followed by the letter P. I wonder if the british or others pronounce it as MOP or spell it out instead of pronouncing it m.a.r.p.?

MARP rhymes harp or carp, however one pronounces them.Chad wrote:I've always pronounced marp (americanized) with an ahh schwah sound in the middle followed by the r and p consinants, as in carp or bar followed by the letter P. The vowel sound in those words however, is not the schwa sound, which is not an "ahh" but a very de-emphasized "uh" sound, like the e in "system", or the vowel sound before the L in "circle".
