playback with wolfmame

Post by B.McEvoy »

i am having some difficulty playing other pplz inps using wolfmame. ive been trying to play them with the win32 version as it is the only one i am familiar with but i keep getting missing file errors. i am guessing that i have to use the command line version but ive never used it before and it all seems a bit baffling tbh. any help would be appreciated.

Whether you are using commandline or GUI should not matter. Important thing is to use the same version number as the recorded inp did. So if an inp is recorded using wolf101, you must use same version for playback. Also remove nvram-folder before playbacking(and recording).

If you are getting "missing file errors"...that sounds like you are not having correct roms for the mame version you are trying playback on. Rightclick "audit" from the gamename list to see if your roms are good for that mame version and game. Mame tells you what roms you are missing in your gamename.zip
