Why was actionhw split 4 ways? I have searched this forum and cannot find any mention of it.

And Pat hasn't posted game changes for MAME 98 yet.

I thought the stages play one after the other. I.e. you pick one stage finish it, and then you can select a second stage.

So what do the splits mean? Different starting stages? If you start at one stage (i.e. actionhw-gw), can you continue to another on the same recording when you finish that stage?

That's it exactly. When you fully complete one of the stages, you're given the option to select another. It seems to make no difference what stage you start on, the difficulty doesn't seem to be ramped up in any way...

I'm just as baffled as to why it was split when there was no mention of it anywhere. It really shouldn't be split when it's possible to play all 4 stages on one credit. (plus the game only keeps one overall high score list too)

Things should be back the way they were. Frankie had requested a split, and when I checked last night, it appeared they were all separate stages. Oh well, no harm!

My mistake guys. Sorry.

That's what happens if one is not good enough to play through one scenario :)
