Sol Divide 2-all at:

http://www.mog-rep.net/new.htm

There is also an outzone replay there that maxes out the score.

Afterburners is back with a few new mame replays and a few new video files:

Make sure you have the correct BIOS settings and 68K core settings, although I don't remember specifically setting the BIOS used.

And make sure you have plenty of popcorn, this is one looooooong recording. :)
Interesting. Where does it specify what those correct settings are? I've never touched either the BIOS or 68K core settings in any replay ever. Most replay work for me. Thanks for the help.

I found the attached Track and Field recording on a Russian emulation site. Its by a player called "Artifice", and scores 101,800 on the first cycle (using included NVRAM). It plays back without NVRAM also, but only to 100,800 since it loses a 1K bonus on the long jump. Its WolfMAME95.

And I checked the INP and he doesn't use the Run Like Hell (RLH) cheat.

I thought you concluded in your analysis that 98k was probably not legitimately possible. What do you think the explanation is?

Also, odd that someone was familiar with WolfMAME but would not submit to MARP.

Were there any other details on the site? Link?

And situations like this make me certain that someday we will have a dispute over ownership of a recording. It's just a matter of time.

I probably won't be playing it back any time soon, I was just going by George's comments.

No idea what you're hinting at...

http://www4.emu-zone.org/corner/view.asp?id=2612

Strikers 1945 III / Strikers 1999
3,433,900
All clear, no miss, no bomb, max chain = 135
MAME Plus 0.62~0.71

And ignore the description and filename, the inp inside the zip is correct. The player seems to have confused it with another inp.

In case anybody hadn't figured it out yet, the explanation is that the INP is a fake that I made while investigating the highest possible scores on Track and Field in this forum thread over at TG http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/view ... 3&start=30

I figured I'd left enough hints in that it was a fake that everybody would figure it out pretty easily. I made the INP programatically by inserting button pushes by hand using trial and error to find the best results for each event. The running is the same as you would get with autofire, but the timing on everything is better than you could get in real-life even with auto-fire since I made all the timing (jumps, angles, throws, starts), frame "perfect". If anybody can beat any of the individual event scores, I'd like to see the INP for it (even if you use auto-fire, but not RLH cheat. I know High Jump can go higher with RLH). I think some of them can be improved just a bit.

And don't worry, MARP editors would have easily detected this as a fake even if I hadn't left in hints.

Yes, NVRAM was edited by hand. I put these in for fun just to make knowledgable people wonder if they were real. I couldn't get over 9.72.

G.T recorded a 2-all Mazinger Z replay:

http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~zekzek/repl ... ayh_r.html

http://cgi.www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~zekzek/ ... me.cgi?385

This replay only works with mameplus 99. It would not work for me with wolf99 or mame32-99.
